This will be our second season vending at the Texas Township Farmers' Market and our first as a full seasonal Vendor! We're looking for someone to be our Market Manager for the 2021 Season and hopefully beyond! Saturdays, May 8 - Oct. 16

IDEAL APPLICANT:

  • Strong desire to build local community through farming and food

  • Great with Customers and Sales

  • Enjoys engaging with people about food and cooking

  • Attention to Detail

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and physical environment

  • Have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation

  • An artistic eye for market displays!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Run the Texas Township Farmers' Market Booth on Saturday Mornings, 8 - Noon

    • Must be able to lift 50 lbs​

    • Commit to every Saturday, May 8th - Oct.16th

    • Meet at Farm and pack vehicles for market at 6am.

    • Drive farm vehicle to market

    • Unload and set-up display 

    • Sell and engage with customers

    • Pack up after market and transport items back to farm

    • Keep track of inventory and report sales

    • (If it sounds like a lot, Don't worry! Farmer Julia will be there to train you the first several markets!)

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

  • Seasonal Position: May 1 (ideally) - October 16th. Every Saturday, Market runs 8am to Noon. 

  • Shift runs 6am to 1pm. (7 hours)

  • Optional additional hours available helping to harvest, wash and pack produce on the Farm on Fridays and potential for Tuesday evening market shifts.

  • Pay is based on experience (but starts at $14 / hr)

  • Access to free farm veggies!
